The Line Puller moves finished pallets to designated "hold" area and insures proper assortment of packaging materials for production runs.Duties & Responsibilities:
Communicate with Warehouse and Production supervisor regarding packaging required for daily production runs and insure appropriate inventory levels are maintained throughout the day. Using stand-up and sit down forklifts, deliver packaging to plant lines. Using stand-up and sit down forklifts, remove loaded pallets from production line to warehouse for compliance with positive release program. Supply packaging material to line as needed and maintains pallet supplies in building. Complete all required documentation with accuracy. Advise Warehouse and Production Managers when packaging inventories are low. May be required to fill in for DC Tech. Advise appropriate leads of any unsafe conditions in both plant and warehouse areas. Able to troubleshoot some equipment issues and advise maintenance of needed repairs or preventive care. Responsible for continuous improvement ideas and implementation in assigned area. Follow and maintain GMP standards at all times. Participate and assist in yearly inventory process. Follow and hold others accountable for following all company Good Manufacturing Practices. Maintain a clean work area and participate in warehouse sanitation tasks. Other duties as directed by the supervisor.Workplace Safety:
Completes safety system documentation and verifies compliance to program standards. Reports deviations to Supervisor. Participates in mandatory safety trainings and adheres to all safety policies Required to report all safety issues, near misses, and injuriesQuality & Food Safety:
Completes quality & food safety system documentation and verifies compliance to program standards. Reports deviations to Supervisor. Participates in mandatory food safety and quality training program requirements Preserves the integrity of the BRC system through adherence to the policies and procedures outlined. Takes actions necessary to resolve food safety and quality system deficiencies Required to report food safety and quality system failures and take actions necessary to preserve the BRC system.Position Requirements:
Able to demonstrate skill operating forklift equipment; obtain or hold certification. Ability to operate stretch wrap machine. Work well within a team environment. Communicate well verbally and in writing using the English language. Ability to lift a minimum of 50lbs consistently throughout shift. Tolerance for both hot and cold environment. Prior experience working in a manufacturing environment desirable. Ability to understand and carry out instructions.Equal Opportunity Employer:
