Job Description

Elevator Operator
PURPOSE OF POSITION
Responsible for daily operations in our grain handling facilities. These activities include loading and unloading rail cars and semi-trucks, monitoring and transferring product, driving track mobile and yard truck to move equipment and product when necessary.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinate with other operators when filling bins. Document weights being put into the bins and monitor inventory levels across the facility. Assist in daily scheduled production, ensuring the processing work is performed in a safe and efficient manner Product Sample retention and documentation to support plant quality Conduct product testing for all operations as needed. Load and unload trucks/load and unload railcars Complete sanitation responsibilities as assigned and maintain the appearance of the facility. Lift and move material. Adhere to all safety policies and procedures. Perform other tasks as assigned possibly in different work area. Safety Lead, support, and adhere to the Company's Safety Program Decision making practices that focus on employee and facility safety Where trained, proactively identify and report to Plant Superintendent or Manager possible safety hazards Quality Adhere to all Quality Assurance standards. Decision making practices that focus and support food quality safety Ensure all products are stored in the conditions necessary to maintain quality. Ensure that products being produced and shipped meet all agreed quality standards and quickly recognize and report to supervisor any deviations from these standards, minimizing rejections.
QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate will possess the following: High school diploma or equivalent Hold a valid driver's license. Demonstrated ability to follow oral and written instructions. Ability to establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships.
Ability to:
lift a minimum of 50 lbs. stand for extended periods. work in dust. open traps on trailers/railcars work in confined spaces. work at significant heights. Sweep and shovel grain. Operate or learn how to operate heavy equipment (skid-steer, forklift, telehandler)
