Water Jet Operator Job Description The Water Jet Operator will be responsible for operating a Water Jet machine, completing approximately 1-10 runs per day on various parts. The candidate must understand and manage the X and Y axis for machine operation and part setup. Following each run, the operator will clean the finished parts before forwarding them to the next stage of production. This position requires the ability to load the machine independently and handle weights up to 70 lbs throughout the shift. Ensuring product quality is critical, involving the use of micrometers, calipers, and gauges to maintain compliance. Responsibilities Operate the Water Jet machine for 1-10 runs daily on different parts. Understand and manage X and Y axis during machine operation and part setup. Clean finished parts after each run and prepare them for the next production stage. Load the machine independently, lifting up to 70 lbs as needed. Conduct quality checks using micrometers, calipers, and gauges to ensure compliance. Essential Skills 2+ years of experience with CNC machines (e.g., waterjet, CNC operator, machinist, router). Understanding of X and Y axis for machine operation. Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with blueprint reading. Experience with waterjet or router machines. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of South Bend, IN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $50000.00 - $56000.00/yr. They have medical/ dental vision 401k.
