in Thorntown, IN is hiring CNC Machine Operators. Will train the right person, but 3 + years of manufacturing experience is required. Easy commute from Lebanon, Zionsville, Whitestown, Brownsburg, Avon, NW Indianapolis, Lafayette, Frankfort, Westfield, Noblesville, Indiana. Position is on 2nd Shift; 2:30pm-10:30pm. 2nd Shift receives a 5% shift premium. Must be able to work overtime as needed Reporting to the Production Supervisor - this position is responsible for conducting effective and efficient CNC machine operations to produce quality production at specified required rates.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Plans and performs adjustments for turning/milling CNC operations in accordance with drawing requirements to maintain quality production of parts.
• Completes work in accordance with the Stalcop LLC, New Product Development process for process/machining development and process documentation.
• Responsible for operating equipment to produce quality parts according to print/PCP specifications.
• CNC machine operators prepare machines for manufacturing processes. This includes checking attachments and parts, taking measurements, making adjustments to precisely calibrate machines, and loading feeding mechanisms.
• CNC machine operators inspect finished parts to ensure they meet all specifications and quality standards. ABILITY
• Ability to effectively communicate with a diverse group of people from the manufacturing floor to department managers and customers/suppliers.
• Ability to utilize and maintain computer based systems to track, log and completely document systems, procedures and activities.
• Ability to read and understand mechanical component and part blueprints.
• Proven ability to accurately use a variety of measuring gauges (mics, calipers, comparator, bore gauges, thread gauges-I/D & O/D gauges, indicators, plug gauges, etc.).
• CNC machine operators must be able to lift up to 50 pounds of equipment, stand and walk for long hours at a time, and bend and squat to operate and maintain machines

EXPERIENCE

• 3 years experience in manufacturing machine operation.
