Job Description:
Duties/Responsibilities:
Responsible for routine set-ups and adjustments to the extrusion machines and related equipment. Utilizes a forklift to move equipment and materials. Ensures material is properly mixed and uses plastic granulators to dispose of out of spec materials. Inspects work-in-process and maintains necessary records. This position is for night shift M-F 6pm-6am. Spanish speaking is required and machine operator experience with plastics. Coordinates with Department Manager to ensure daily production requirements are achieved. Sets up machines and equipment and make minor adjustments/repairs as necessary using appropriate bench and hand tools, etc. Ensure all production data is gathered and reported correctly daily. Support & improves Quality initiatives designed to meet plant goals. Ensures safety programs are implemented effectively, reviewed regularly and revised as necessary as well as committing safety procedures set in place for the plant Ensures all associates meet GMP and dress code requirements. Provides break relief to other members of the team as necessary. Performs other related duties as required. GMPs and SQF compliance are required.
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Spanish speaking
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Effective in conflict resolution
  • Proficient with computer software such as
Microsoft Excel and Outlook Education and Experience:
High School Diploma degree preferred 2+ years of plastics manufacturing experience preferred Supervisory experience preferred.
