6:00am-2:30pm Monday-Friday We're seeking an experienced Laser Operator in Kansas City, KS to join QPS in a stable, associate-to-hire opportunity with great hours, a convenient location, and strong benefits upon hire. This role is ideal for someone with a solid work history, a positive, team-focused attitude, and hands-on experience with laser cutting and Mastercam programming who takes pride in producing precise, high-quality parts while upholding strict safety and quality standards. Laser Operator Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Operate and monitor laser cutting machines to produce parts according to specifications
• Program and edit jobs using Mastercam software
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Perform routine quality inspections to ensure accuracy and compliance with specifications
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines

Laser Operator Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Vocational training or relevant on-the-job experience preferred
• Experience operating laser cutting machines
• Proficiency in Mastercam programming
• Ability to read and interpret prints and technical drawings
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality
• Basic math skills
• Ability to follow established work practices, safety guidelines, and regulations
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation
• Ability to stand for extended periods (8-10 hour shifts)
