Technician Job Description The technician will work in a dynamic lumber yard and two on-site fabrication shops. The role involves diverse tasks such as loading and unloading trucks, operating forklifts, assembling skids, preparing shipments, and moving materials. Additionally, technicians will use hand and power tools to assemble and cut materials to specific lengths. Responsibilities Load and unload trucks efficiently. Operate forklifts safely and effectively. Assemble skids and prepare them for shipment. Move materials within the lumber yard and fab shops. Use hand and power tools to assemble and cut materials. Read and interpret blueprints accurately. Essential Skills Experience in construction and general labor. Proficiency in assembly and blueprint reading. Ability to operate forklifts. Skillful use of hand and power tools. Capable of heavy lifting. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in construction labor preferred. The role requires 8-hour shifts, with a 30-minute lunch break. Working hours are primarily from 3pm to 11pm on the second shift, with a possibility of a day shift from 7am to 3:30pm if available. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kansas City, KS. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
