Job Description

Job Summary The Bindery Operator is responsible for performing a wide variety of finishing and bindery functions to produce high-quality printed materials according to job specifications. This role requires attention to detail, manual dexterity, and the ability to efficiently complete both machine and hand-assembly tasks in a production environment. Key Responsibilities Perform all bindery and finishing functions as specified on work orders and job tickets, including but not limited to: Folding, cutting, padding, and collating Numbering and perforating GBC punching, spiral or coil binding, and fastback binding Scoring, drilling, stitching, and stapling Laminating and shrink wrapping Set up, operate, and maintain bindery and finishing equipment safely and efficiently. Complete handwork and manual assembly projects according to customer and job specifications. Inspect finished products to ensure quality standards and accuracy are met. Package completed jobs, complete work orders, job tickets, and delivery receipts as required. Place finished jobs in assigned staging or delivery areas. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Communicate with supervisors and team members regarding job status, priorities, and any issues. Qualifications & Skills Previous bindery or print shop experience preferred, but not required. Ability to read and follow work orders and job tickets accurately. Strong attention to detail and quality control. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift materials as needed. Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn new equipment and processes. Dependable, punctual, and able to work effectively in a team environment. Work Environment Production-based printing facility May involve standing, lifting, and repetitive motion Fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines
Pay:
$18.50 - $24.00 per hour
