Production Lead (Working Lead) - 1st Shift Lead from the Front, Not the Sidelines Are you an expert setup professional looking for leadership growth? Or a manager who misses getting your hands dirty? We are seeking a hands-on Production Lead to own our primary high-volume line. This isn't a clipboard-carrying role; you ll be the technical backbone of our first shift, troubleshooting machinery and mentoring a tight-knit crew of 4 to 8 operators.

Act as the technical expert for our production line, focusing on hydraulic stamping presses (non-metallics). Rapid Changeovers:
Perform frequent tooling changeovers multiple times a day to minimize downtime. Troubleshooting & PM:
Optimize feed and control systems, diagnose mechanical issues on the fly, and perform daily preventative maintenance checks. Team Leadership (Secondary Focus) Daily Strategy:
Partner with the Plant Manager each morning to map out production goals and shift priorities. Coaching & Delegation:
Assign jobs to 4-8 operators, step in to train struggling team members, and maintain a high-respect, high-energy floor culture. What You Bring to the Team Experience:
3 to 5+ years in manufacturing machine setups and tooling changeovers. Press Expertise:
Background with press stamping equipment (metal stamping transitions perfectly!). Experience with Preco Presses is a major plus. High EQ:

Act as the go-to technical expert for our production line, focusing on hydraulic stamping presses (specifically non-metallics). Rapid Changeovers:
Efficiently manage and perform frequent tooling changeovers multiple times a day to keep downtime to an absolute minimum. System Calibration:
Configure and optimize feed and control systems to bring complex mechanical machinery to peak operational status. Troubleshooting:
Monitor run quality constantly; step in to diagnose, adjust, and resolve mechanical or setup issues on the fly. Proactive Maintenance:
Perform quick, daily preventative maintenance checks (checking belt tension, greasing fittings) to support our on-site maintenance team. Team Leadership & Culture (Secondary Focus) Daily Strategy:
Partner with the Plant Manager every morning to review the schedule board, shift priorities based on customer data, and map out the day's wins. Empower Operators:
Delegate specific jobs to your team of 4 to 8 operators once machines are fully calibrated and ready to roll. Coaching & Floor Support:
