Job Description
Temp-to-hire position Responsible for start-up, shut down, and troubleshooting of the stamping and milling processes as well as related automation equipment. Perform basic programming of CNC and all manufacturing equipment and make any necessary adjustments to ensure Production is operating efficiently. The Technician is responsible for new tooling samples and to provide full documentation on all processing parameters.
- Set-up, adjust, troubleshoot, and maintain all production equipment; check work instruction to ensure accurate settings for job
- Position and secure work pieces on machines, using holding devices, measuring instruments, hand tools, and hoists.
- Operate, load, and adjust press at or above established standard rate while maintaining quality standard of parts
- Diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctions or recommend corrections; check tooling and equipment for overloads or improper tool maintenance, and report issues to supervisor
- Perform preventative maintenance on assigned equipment and machines; report machine maintenance issues to maintenance department.
- Read and understand quality standards, control plans, and all pertinent documentation required in producing a quality part to specification; perform routine quality checks on parts during production, through usage of measuring instruments provided
- May assist in the training and development of operators
- Return all tools, gauges, and parts, etc. to proper storage areas
- Complete all paperwork associated with the position in a timely and accurate manner
- Maintain organized and clean work area.
- Communicate all problems and other work issues with supervisor
- Receive, understand, and follow all written and oral instruction
- Maintain acceptable attendance standards by reporting to work every day as expected and scheduling time away in advance of absence when necessary
- Adhere to established policies and procedures, paying special attention to safety regulations; work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
- Resolve day-to-day issues by working effectively with others
