MACHINE OPERATOR
to join our manufacturing team on a weekly pay schedule. In this role, you will be responsible for operating various machinery used in plastics manufacturing processes, including plastics blow molding, extrusion, injection molding, CNC machining, and press brake operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, proficiency with precision measuring instruments, and experience with fabrication and materials handling. Schedule:
Monday - Friday 6:30am-3pm $17/HR •For more questions please call our office 913-268-1222• Responsibilities Conduct quality inspections using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments to verify product specifications Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machinery to minimize downtime and maintain safety standards Handle materials efficiently using forklifts and other warehouse equipment to support production flow Utilize hand tools and fabrication techniques for assembly, modifications, or repairs of parts and equipment Follow lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow and reduce waste Document production data accurately and report any issues or deviations promptly Assist in setup and changeovers of machines according to production schedules Support materials handling activities including loading raw materials and managing finished goods inventory Requirements Proven experience operating manufacturing machinery such as plastics blow molding, extrusion lines, injection molding presses, CNC lathes, or press brake machines Mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for machine operation control Experience with quality inspection tools including calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments Ability to perform basic math calculations relevant to manufacturing processes Knowledge of plastics fabrication techniques such as injection molding and blow molding is preferred Warehouse experience including forklift operation is highly desirable Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles for continuous improvement initiatives Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment If you are motivated by precision work, eager to develop your manufacturing skills, and ready to contribute to a fast-paced production setting, we encourage you to apply today.
