Full Job Description Overview:
Shear operator calculates how best to arrange material so there is very little waste.
Responsibilities:
REPONSIBILITIES
Use AX as trained to find and pull material for orders Cut order per router instructions Follow set guideline for proper inspection of material and cut size, grain direction, batch number. Tag material with shop order number and count using proper color code tags. Stage material for shipping using proper shipping guidelines by material type. Able to identify the most critical jobs and then completes them in a timely manner. Keep work areas clean. Use proper lifting equipment when handling material, ask for help when needed. Know your equipment , maintain set check areas Update AX lot notes with all material changes. Do job cards for all material used.
Qualifications:
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Basic computer skills, read written directions, take verbal instructions, able to use measuring devices, and basic math skills. Forklift experience
Good Attendance Education/Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
