Machine Operator Summit Employment Professionals - 4.3 Wichita, KS Job Details Full-time $16.00 - $17.25 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Press brake machine Teamwork High school diploma or GED Manufacturing facility Mechanical troubleshooting Full Job Description Job description: The Machine Operator is responsible for safely setting up, operating, and maintaining various types of manufacturing equipment, including roll formers, saws, brake presses, and other production machinery. This role ensures that all products are manufactured to the required quality standards and specifications while meeting productivity and safety goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up and operate assigned machines according to work instructions, blueprints, or production schedules. Monitor equipment operation to ensure efficiency and detect malfunctions or quality issues. Inspect finished parts using basic measurement tools (calipers, tape measures, gauges) to verify conformance to specifications. Perform routine maintenance on machines, including cleaning, lubrication, and basic troubleshooting. Record production data accurately and maintain work documentation as required. Follow safety procedures and wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times. Collaborate with team members, quality inspectors, and supervisors to resolve production issues. Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with 5S and lean manufacturing principles. Cross-train on multiple machines or functions as needed to support production demands.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous experience in a manufacturing or machine operation role is a plus. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, job travelers, and standard work instructions. Familiarity with basic hand tools and measurement instruments. Mechanical aptitude and good problem-solving skills. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Positions Avaliable:
Brake Press Operator :
Operates a brake press machine to bend, form, and shape metal components according to specifications and blueprints.
CNC Machinist :
Sets up and operates computer numerical control (CNC) machines to produce precision metal parts with tight tolerances.
Lathe Operator :
Operates a lathe to cut, sand, knurl, or drill metal workpieces into precise shapes and sizes.
Mazak Machine Operator :
Runs and maintains Mazak CNC machines to manufacture complex metal components following detailed technical drawings.
Roll Form Operator:
Experience with coil-fed machinery and forming dies.
Hydropress Operator:
Set up, operate, or tend machines to saw, cut, shear, slit, punch, crimp, notch, bend, or straighten metal or plastic material. Openings on all shifts
