OWNED SAW OPERATOR

If you have experience in Aviation as a Saw Operator and looking for a great opportunity with a dynamic employee owned manufacturing company, Globe Engineering might be the place for you. Globe was established in 1946 in Wichita Kansas where it produced child safety seats for automobiles. We have grown over the years and now we supply tubes and sheet metal parts to a variety of aviation companies throughout the world. Job Objective Responsible for set-up and operation of our tube bend machines as specified by written instructions, drawings and mylars. Inspects completed work for conformance to specifications. Essential Job Functions Set up and operate chop saws, band saws and radial arm saws. Follow written instructions and drawings (setup cards and planning) Read blueprints and mylars Check required dimensions using calipers, micrometers, height gages and other inspection devices. Perform all work in accordance with established standards and safety procedures. Ensure proper documentation is entered on required paperwork. Recognize a variety of different materials. Assist other operators as needed. Work under direct oversight while in the learning phase.

Work Environment Usual working days/hours:

Monday thru Thursday 6:00am•4:30pm; Friday 6:00am•3:30pm. Working hours are subject to change based company needs, may require working additional overtime on Saturdays. Manufacturing shop environment Requirements This position may be filled or closed to further application without notice.
