High School Responsibilities Machine Operation & Production Setup and Operation:
Set up, calibrate, and safely operate industrial bandsaws, platesaws, and specialized cutting equipment to process aluminum, steel, and other metallic alloys.
Material Handling:
Load and unload heavy metal plates, bars, and extrusions using overhead cranes, forklifts, and material hoists in accordance with strict warehouse safety guidelines.
Efficiency:
Optimize cutting sequences and nesting patterns to maximize material yield and minimize scrap metal waste.
Blueprint Interpretation:
Read, analyze, and interpret shop orders, engineering drawings, and blueprints to determine precise cutting specifications and tolerances.
Precision Measurement:
Perform continuous quality checks using calipers, micrometers, tape measures, and gauges to ensure all finished cuts meet strict aerospace tolerances.
