Machine Operator - Weekend Shift- TH-SUN 7-7

WEEKEND SHIFT THURS-SUN

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

Machine Operator- 3 positions 1-Saturator operator Setting up the saturator unit to process material requested by customer. Assisting in the threading of the production line, spreader unit, saturator unit, drying cans, and scray unit. Assisting in the setup and/or change over of the production line. Reducing material defects which exceed the parameters agreed upon by the Quality Department and the customer by patrolling the production line. 2-Slitter Operator Threading up and for setting up slitter to cut material to length, width and tolerances requested by customer. Splicing out any material defects which exceed the parameters, agreed upon by the Quality Department and customer. Ensuring that the slit roll cores are cut to specification for the run being processed. Doffing and taping unit rolls, prepackaging, removal of mandrels, edge trim, and placement of roll stickers. 3-Cardroom Operator Breaking open fiber bales, weighing, mixing and feeding fiber into the bale feed hoppers. Patrolling and inspecting the production line for potential problems. Taking readings on production line machinery and recording the machine settings. Reducing material defects which exceed the parameters agreed upon by the Quality Department and the customer by patrolling the production line.

Previous Manufacturing experience perferred Ability to calculate percentages, add, subtract, multiply, divide.[1] Ability to read, write and interpret and comprehend documents such as operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, schematics, technical documents and safety rules Ability to apply common sense and understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral or diagram form. Safe Forklift operation. Ability to stand, to walk, to perceive distance and to distinguish color. Ability to routinely use hand tools for maintenance and repair work. Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms. Work in an environment with moderate noise level, wet or high humidity conditions, excessive heat, extreme cold and vibration, exposure to airborne particles and moving parts.
