Job Description

Secondary Machine Operator

Tarter Tube - Tube Mill
REPORTS TO
Production Supervisor STATUS:
Full-Time, Hourly
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Secondary Machine Operator is responsible for operating mechanical presses, single-end and double-end notching machines, and automated bending machines to produce accurate parts according to product specifications. This position plays a key role in supporting continuous production flow, identifying defects, and ensuring safety and quality standards are consistently met.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Duties include, but are not limited to: Operate mechanical presses, single-end notchers, double-end notchers, and automated bending machines Produce accurate and usable parts according to product specifications Identify defective parts and remove them from production Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment Ensure all safety devices, guards, and equipment are in place and operational Follow standard operating procedures and meet production goals Perform additional duties as assigned by management
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions Ability to read and use a tape measure and basic measuring tools Strong attention to detail and production-minded work ethic Effective interpersonal, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills Ability to work in a team environment and maintain professionalism Ability to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation
WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Indoor, fast-paced manufacturing environment Repetitive motion for extended periods Must be able to stand, bend, and lift as required by the job Required to wear appropriate PPE at all times Exposure to machinery, moving parts, and production noise Must follow all safety procedures to minimize risk of injury
