Press Brake / Machine Operator•
Metal Shop Erlanger, KY Shifts Available:
1st
Shift:
Monday-Friday, 6:30 AM•3:00 PM 2nd
Shift:
Monday-Friday, 2:30 PM•11:00 PM (+$1 shift differential) Position Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Press Brake / Machine Operator to join a growing metal fabrication team in Erlanger, KY. This role is responsible for setting up and operating brake press machines while reviewing blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications to produce quality metal components. Candidates should possess strong math skills, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to visualize 3D parts from flat sheet metal layouts. Experience operating press brakes is preferred. Overtime opportunities are available during peak production periods. Essential Responsibilities Set up and operate brake press machines and other shop equipment including rolls, shears, saws, and presses Read and interpret blueprints, part drawings, and engineering specifications Input bend dimensions and bend deductions into machine controllers Perform mathematical calculations including converting fractions to decimals Adjust bend programs and machine settings as needed Inspect finished parts for accuracy and quality Use measuring tools including tape measures, protractors, and calipers Make minor machine adjustments and report major repairs to supervisors Maintain a clean and safe work environment Follow all company safety procedures including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) Assist other departments and perform additional duties as assigned
QualificationsRequired:
High School Diploma or GED Minimum 1 year of machine operating or press brake experience Basic computer skills for machine programming Strong math and measurement skills Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings Experience using measuring and calibration tools Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Strong communication and organizational skills
Preferred:
Press brake setup experience Metal fabrication or manufacturing experience Knowledge of machine maintenance and troubleshooting LOTO training certification Physical Requirements Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs regularly Stand and walk for extended periods Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, and reaching Ability to safely operate manufacturing equipment and tools Work Environment This position is based on a manufacturing shop floor environment with exposure to moving machinery, airborne particles, and moderate noise levels. Proper safety procedures and PPE are required at all times. Why Apply?
