Lexington, KY Job Details 10 hours ago Qualifications Lifting equipment Forklift Gas metal arc welding Material handling equipment operation Full Job Description Commercial Door Fabricator and Material Handler Position Summary We are seeking a dependable Material Handler / Loader to support the production and preparation of commercial doors and frames. This position requires forklift experience, the ability to work independently, and a strong work ethic. Experience in commercial door manufacturing, construction, or related building materials is preferred. Key Responsibilities Load, unload, and move commercial doors, frames, and materials using a forklift. Stage materials for production, shipping, and installation projects. Perform commercial door preparation and modifications according to specifications. Assist with assembly and fabrication of commercial doors and hollow metal frames. Complete light MIG welding on hollow metal door frames. Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently. Inspect materials for quality and accuracy before shipment. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Work independently to meet production schedules and deadlines. Qualifications Previous forklift experience required; certification preferred. Experience with commercial doors, frames, construction, or building materials preferred. Basic MIG welding experience required. Ability to read work orders, measurements, and specifications. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Ability to lift and move heavy materials throughout the workday. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Reliable attendance and strong safety awareness. Physical Requirements Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 75 pounds. Stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods. Work in a warehouse and manufacturing environment. Preferred Experience Commercial door and hardware industry experience. Hollow metal frame fabrication and modification. Construction or carpentry background. Shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations experience.
