Job Description

Summary:
Coordinate with scheduler/planner or designee all activities of the batch making process within the Production Department. Responsible to uphold Company quality standards while meeting all orders in a timely fashion. Oversee and when necessary, participate with Batch Room Technicians to ensure workflow is being done in a manner that optimizes production capabilities. This includes but is not limited to batch mixing, container handling, chemical handling and pumping, and general maintenance and housekeeping.
Primary Duties:
Drive and participate in improvement and operational activities, specifically procedure updates and first pass yield opportunities.

Reinforce all Safety and Housekeeping guidelines.

Monitor timing of raw material inventory needs with Inventory Control ManagerPlan batch room operations; establish priorities and sequences for manufacturing products.

Monitor the SOV (Shop Order Variances) Daily.

Review Batch Room records regularly to ensure records are accurate and properly documented, specifically proper entry of times and associated documentation requirements. Ensure batch mixing processes are carried out according to specifications. Direct Batch Room Technicians across all shiftsEnsure Satellite Accumulation Area is being properly labeled and managed - Affected WorkerEnsure all employees are properly trained in use of equipment and raw materials handling to meet safety compliance.

Develop or revise standard operational and working practices and observe workers to ensure compliance with standards.

Perform miscellaneous duties as requested by supervisor
Non-Essential Duties:

Experience:
Associates degree, or minimum of 5 years related experience and/or training in a manufacturing and quality control environment.

Or equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the job.
