Machine Operator

Support paint manufacturing operations through material handling, weighing, scanning, forklift operation, quality checks, and production line support in a plant environment. Job Requirements Experience working with machines and weighing processes Ability to lift 50 to 70 pounds safely Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment Familiarity with moving machine parts and monitoring production quality Ability to review bills of materials and verify correct material usage Ability to follow safety, quality, security, and operational procedures Strong attention to detail Basic math skills applicable to a production environment Clear understanding of lockout/tagout procedures Clear understanding of hazard communication policies Familiarity with standard operating procedures and operator manuals for equipment operation Ability to understand and follow posted signage throughout the facility Ability to multitask and monitor multiple processes at the same time Ability to maintain accurate counts and production records Ability to stand for extended periods Ability to complete repetitive strenuous work under varying climate conditions Full range of motion to stand, walk, sit, reach, climb, stoop, or kneel Ability to work in a plant environment with varying temperatures and physical demands Ability to work in confined spaces as required after training 20/20 vision or corrected 20/20 Preferred Skills Forklift experience High-reach forklift experience Experience using handheld scanning devices Experience reading and working with SOPs Experience working with chemicals or in light chemical manufacturing Experience in production or warehouse material handling Bilingual English/Spanish Experience verifying labels to product and scanning material through receiving, put-away, and work-in-process locations Experience cleaning tanks or working in confined space operations after training Job Responsibilities Follow standard operating procedures, company policies, and safety regulations Use proper PPE for each task and maintain PPE in safe working condition Operate equipment and perform assigned tasks as trained Monitor product quality through the production process and report out-of-compliance issues Perform startup and shutdown activities as directed Participate in cross-training across multiple plant line positions Maintain accurate counts and document products produced or used Keep production lines organized, clean, and free of hazards Grease, adjust, and clean specific parts of the production line in support of autonomous maintenance Support safety targets established by supervisors and management Train laborers and new manufacturing associates Perform general labor duties to meet production needs Attend safety meetings and conduct safety audits Verify labels to product and scan material from receiving dock to storage or work-in-process locations Use pick lists and handheld scanners to move product from rack locations to work-in-process locations Push product to mezzanine batching areas as required Operate forklifts safely in a production or warehouse environment Support confined space tank cleaning after required training using shovels, air tools, or other cleaning equipment on a rotating schedule

Pay:
