In this role, you will be responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting Surface Mount Technology (SMT) equipment used in the assembly of electronic components onto printed circuit boards (PCBs). The ideal candidate has strong technical knowledge of SMT processes, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Set up and operate SMT equipment, including solder paste printers and pick-and-place machines Verify placement programs prior to production runs Inspect components and printed circuit boards for defects and quality issues Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions and process errors Make machine adjustments during production as needed Evaluate solder conditions after reflow and apply IPC standards knowledge Perform manual component placement when required Follow assembly instructions, work orders, and engineering drawings Assist in training SMT Operators Maintain proper ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) controls and procedures Perform additional duties as assigned Qualifications & Skills Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software Ability to perform setup checks and accurately identify component values Ability to locate and interpret component datasheets Strong teamwork skills and ability to lead by example Knowledge of IPC standards preferred Education & Experience High school diploma or equivalent required Minimum of 3 years of SMT manufacturing experience required Strong knowledge of SMT processes and equipment Candidate must qualify as a U.S. Person as defined by 22 CFR 120.62 (U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Resident status) Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods of time Ability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally Schedule & Work-Life Balance Full-time position Enjoy a 4-day work week with shifts scheduled Monday through Thursday Every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday off to support work-life balance and personal time Benefits Competitive pay based on experience Opportunity to work with advanced SMT manufacturing equipment Supportive team-oriented environment Consistent full-time schedule with 3-day weekends every week Additional benefits available
