Job Description

Objective:
Excel as a machine operator while actively pursuing opportunities for professional growth and development as an associate of Precision Wire Shapes.
Position Requirements:
Work closely with Production Supervisor to establish daily priorities and be responsible for set up, operating and correcting opportunities on various machines used in cold rolling and cold drawing of alloys. Responsible at times for accurately documenting, selecting, weighing and cutting alloys specific to customer orders. Prep materials for proper set up and accurate processing to customer specs. Operate fork truck to move alloys to work area, load and unload deliveries and accurately weigh and inventory materials as required. Able to consistently stand, crouch and bend for extended periods of time. Able to lift and move alloys of one hundred pounds. Able to correctly point wire for machine feeding to ensure accuracy of quality. Able to accurately read and operate measuring instruments such as micrometers. Capable of operating overhead lift equipment, safely and efficiently. Requires hand/eye coordination, standing, walking and use of hands for gripping, holding and reaching. Works with pertinent liquids, oils, grease and lubricating materials. Able to use a variety of hand tools and power tools. Identifies and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the Production Supervisor. Maintains the work area and equipment to meet lean manufacturing standards. Teamwork adhering to company policies with reliable attendance. Perform related tasks as assigned that have not been outlined in the position requirements classified as "other."
Experience:
1-3 years employed in a manufacturing environment a plus. (but not required) Experience in cold rolling and cold drawing a plus. (but not required) Precision Wire Shapes provides on-the-job-training for its manufacturing positions.
Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent. Reliable transportation to and from job site a must.
