Starting at $28/hour (higher pay available based on experience) We are currently seeking a skilled CNC Setup & Machining Specialist to support precision machining operations within a fast-paced production environment. This hands-on role is ideal for candidates with strong experience in CNC milling, turning, machine setup, and process optimization. Position Overview This role focuses on producing high-quality machined components using CNC equipment while maintaining accuracy, efficiency, and safety standards. The ideal candidate will be comfortable handling setup work, troubleshooting machining issues, and supporting repeat production processes. Key Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC vertical and horizontal machining centers, including multi-axis milling equipment Read and interpret blueprints, travelers, setup sheets, and technical documentation Manufacture precision components while maintaining tight tolerances of ± .002" Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments and quality tools Edit CNC programs and assist with programming adjustments when required Create and improve fixtures and machine setups for production efficiency Diagnose machining or setup issues and resolve problems independently Maintain production flow while meeting deadlines and quality expectations Follow established safety practices and maintain a clean, organized workspace Required Qualifications Minimum of 3 years of CNC programming experience 4-5 years of hands-on experience with machine setup and fixturing Experience using SolidWorks CAM Pro or similar CAM software Strong knowledge of tooling selection, machining strategies, feeds, and speeds Experience machining materials such as aluminum, stainless steel, and carbon steel Preferred Experience Additional experience with lathes, grinding equipment, drilling machines, and hand tools Ability to perform routine machine maintenance and basic troubleshooting High attention to detail with a strong quality-focused mindset Ability to work collaboratively and contribute to continuous process improvements We may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses.
