Job Title:
Compounding Technician Job Description As a Compounding Technician, you will accurately measure and mix ingredients according to specific formulations and recipes. You will perform precise weighing and calculations to ensure correct ingredient proportions, follow batch cards meticulously to prepare batches according to specifications, and operate and maintain compounding equipment and machinery. Additionally, you will conduct product inspections to ensure all products meet quality and safety standards, provide samples for quality control testing for the lab, and maintain a clean and organized work environment. Adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment is essential. You will also document all processes and maintain accurate records of batches, collaborating with quality control and production teams to ensure consistency and quality of products. Troubleshooting and resolving any issues that arise during the compounding process is also part of your responsibilities. Essential Skills Compounding GMP Mixing Batch Making Production Weighing Distillation Chemical Compound Laboratory Production Blender Additional Skills & Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in food science or a related field is a plus. Previous experience in a compounding or manufacturing environment, preferably in the food and beverage industry. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to follow detailed instructions and procedures. Good communication and teamwork skills. Basic computer skills for record-keeping and documentation. Ability to lift and move heavy ingredients and equipment as needed. Work Environment The work environment is a manufacturing setting where you will wear a provided uniform and steel-toed boots. It can get hot during the summer months, so shorts are permissible. This family-owned company values a 'work hard, play hard' culture with straightforward communication. Attention to detail is crucial as you will be working with expensive ingredients. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Belcamp, MD. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
