Equipment Technician Qualifications Mechanical aptitude Basic computer skills 2-4 years: print, direct mail, Inserting, and/or fulfillment industry 2 years: electronic and mechanical troubleshooting experience on automated manufacturing equipment Responsibilities The Equipment Technician ensures machines are running at peak efficiency through proper set-up, adjustment, preventative maintenance, and minor mechanical repairs Perform a variety of standard and prescribed duties to set-up, operate, and maintain mail inserter equipment Work from schedules, samples and instructions to set-up, run, and operate selective inserters Coordinate with warehouse that adequate material is available for assigned jobs Check output for quality, and make minor adjustments as required Verify material for proper stock number/code against production order/sample Conduct preventative maintenance; cleaning, checking and inspecting equipment Train operators on basic machine operations and the solving of minor operation issues

Education:

High School/GED or equivalent
