Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to safely and efficiently operate a variety of machinery, including excavators, skid steers, dozers, rollers, loaders, and snowplow trucks during winter operations. The ideal candidate has experience in construction, site work, and seasonal snow removal, and is committed to maintaining safety and productivity on all job sites. Key Responsibilities Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, skid steers, bulldozers, rollers, loaders, and plow trucks Perform excavation, grading, trenching, and site preparation work Load and transport materials using loaders and other machinery Conduct routine inspections and basic maintenance on equipment before and after use Follow all safety procedures and regulations to ensure a safe work environment Work with supervisors and crew members to complete projects efficiently Assist with snow removal operations, including plowing roads, parking lots, and job sites during winter months Identify and report mechanical issues or safety concerns promptly Maintain clean and organized equipment and work areas Qualifications Proven experience operating heavy equipment (excavators, skid steers, dozers, etc.) Ability to operate snowplow trucks in winter conditions preferred Knowledge of construction practices and job site safety standards Ability to read grade stakes, plans, or instructions (preferred) Valid driver's license (CDL preferred, depending on role) Strong attention to detail and safety Ability to work in various weather conditions, including extreme cold and heat Physical Requirements Ability to sit, stand, and operate machinery for extended periods Ability to lift up to 50 lbs when needed Good hand-eye coordination and depth perception Work Environment Outdoor construction sites in varying weather conditions Exposure to noise, dust, and heavy machinery Seasonal demands, including extended hours during peak construction and snow removal periods
Pay:
$20.00 - $30.00 per hour
