Automatic Screw Machine Setup Operator

Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Automatic Screw Machine Setup Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for setting up, adjusting, and operating automatic screw machines to produce precision components efficiently and accurately. Duties Requirements and responsibilities:

Set up, operate and maintain multi-spindle automatic screw machines (Acme Gridley); requirements include, but are not limited to: setup and operation of machine; changing, setting cams & gears, grinding & setting form tools, shave tools, drills, cutoffs, maintenance, etc. Minimum of three (3) years setup experience on Acme Gridley automatic screw machines (REQUIRED) Minimum of five (5) years of operator experience on Acme Gridley, Davenport, New Britain, Wickman, Cone, Warner Swazey, Brown & Sharpe, Index, Traub, or other automatic screw machines (REQUIRED) Responsible for multiple machines at all times Very mechanically inclined Complete machine changeovers / setup from layout in timely fashion Excellent skills with measuring devices (calipers, micrometers, height gages, etc) Highly quality conscious Skills Experience with tooling selection, setup procedures, and troubleshooting automatic screw machines. Familiarity with the use of hand tools, calipers, micrometers, precision measuring instruments, and other quality inspection tools. Basic math skills for calculating dimensions, tolerances, feed rates, and machine adjustments. Mechanical aptitude combined with a strong understanding of manufacturing principles to optimize machine performance.

Pay:

$25.00 - $30.00 per hour
