Job Description

NOTE:
This position is for 2nd shift (2:30 PM - 11:00 PM) only. Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Band Saw Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating band saw machines to accurately cut various materials, ensuring precision and quality in every piece. Your expertise will contribute to efficient production workflows and uphold the highest standards of safety and craftsmanship. Responsibilities Set up and operate band saw machines, adjusting settings for different materials and cutting specifications Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to determine cutting requirements Measure materials using calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools to ensure accuracy Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times Inspect finished parts for quality, verifying dimensions with precision measuring instruments Collaborate with fabrication and assembly teams to meet production deadlines Perform routine maintenance on band saw equipment and troubleshoot issues promptly to minimize downtime Skills Proficiency in blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings Strong mechanical knowledge related to machining processes and equipment operation Ability to operate hand tools, punch presses, press brake machines, shears, cranes, and other fabrication equipment Skilled in using quality inspection tools such as tape measures, calipers, and other precision measuring instruments Familiarity with sheet metal fabrication, welding, assembly processes, and basic math skills for measurements and calculations Ability to work safely with forklifts and crane operations as needed for material handling Join us if you're eager to sharpen your expertise while contributing to high-quality manufacturing! $16.00 - $24.00 per hour
