Machine Operator (Maintenance & Production)
Location :
Detroit, MI 48209
Pay:
$22.00 per hour
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. (Enjoy your evenings and weekends!) Why Join Our Team? Are you a mechanical problem-solver who enjoys variety in your workday? We are looking for a skilled Machine Operator who wants to do more than just push buttons. In this role, you aren't just an operator; you are a vital part of our Maintenance Department, responsible for the heartbeat of our liquid filling production line and the integrity of our entire facility. The Day-to-Day Take Ownership of the
Line:
Set up, sanitize, and prime the liquid filling line, configuring settings for maximum efficiency. Master the
Machinery:
Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshooting on high-tech equipment, including ink-jet printers, heat tunnels, and conveyors. Quality is
Key:
Conduct weight checks and seal integrity inspections to ensure every product leaving our dock is perfect.
Keep Us Moving:
Clear jams, manage tooling changeovers for different bottle sizes, and ensure the warehouse racking and dock doors are in top shape. Be the
Expert:
Use your mechanical knowledge to identify safety hazards, coordinate with outside contractors, and even procure parts from local vendors. What You Bring to the
Table Experience:
At least 2 years of experience in machine operation and maintenance within a production or warehouse setting.
Education:
High School Diploma or GED.
Technical Savvy :
You understand mechanical alignments and sensors; basic Microsoft Office or WMS experience is a plus.
License & Tools:
You must have a valid driver's license and your own vehicle for local part runs.
Certifications:
You are ready to pass an internal forklift test within your first 30 days.
Physical Stamina:
Ability to stand/walk for your shift and lift a minimum of 20 lbs. The Perks of the
