Full Job Description Job Description:

We are seeking mechanically inclined, skilled ACME or Davenport Screw Machine Operators to join our automotive parts manufacturing team. This is a full time (40+ hours/week) job. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical knowledge & hands-on experience. They will play a crucial role in ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality & compliance with industry regulations. They must be able to use our machines competently. The candidate must also be able to read blueprints, lift raw materials & properly fill out the necessary documentation. Pay rate is based on skills & experience.

Shop Hours:

5am - 3:30pm M-Th with Fri & weekend as overtime; 2 paid 15 min breaks, 1 unpaid ½ hour lunch; overtime is never guaranteed, but does occur just about every weekend if you choose

Responsibilities:

Operate automatic screw machinery to produce automotive parts according to specifications Read & interpret blueprints & engineering drawings to ensure accurate production Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance Stock & load machinery, maintaining proper oil levels, cutting fluids or lube & keeping machinery free of chip buildup Monitor production process to identify & resolve any issues or defects Collaborate with team members to meet production goals & deadlines Complete first piece, in-process & final inspections on parts Understand, adhere to & demonstrate the company's commitment to quality & safety Keep accurate records & complete necessary documentation in a timely manner Maintain a clean & organized work environment within the warehouse factory setting Follow all safety guidelines & protocols while operating machinery Other duties assigned by supervisors

Requirements:

Mechanical expertise is required A positive attitude and team mentality are required Previous experience as a machine operator or similar role Automotive manufacturing experience Machine set up Familiarity with blueprint reading & interpreting engineering drawings Ability to operate automatic screw machinery & other related equipment Ability to run more than 1 machine & make your own adjustments Ability to troubleshoot & maintain the machines, i.e. change your own spindle bearings, rebuild clutch, etc. Basic shop mathematics Ability to work in a warehouse environment & perform physical tasks as needed
