Position:
Blast Room Operator Operator Job Description As a media blaster, your duties involve operating a media blasting gun in a blast room to clean a surface using a combination of compressed air and an abrasive material such as garnet or aluminum oxide. Your gun can strip dirt, rust, paint, adhesives, and other materials from a surface to create an appropriate profile for coatings to adhere to.
Duties:
- Operate blast equipment and use gage to measure and log profile
- Be trained to perform routine maintenance on machinery and equipment
- Monitor production processes to ensure efficiency and quality
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment
- Collaborate with team members to achieve production goals
- Handle materials and perform warehouse duties as needed
Experience:
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment and blast room is required
- Familiarity with painting or mechanical knowledge is a plus
- Ability to operate forklifts and other materials handling equipment safely
Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues

- Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for long periods of time
