Job Description

Join a growing team dedicated to providing premier land management solutions across Michigan. We specialize in residential and commercial site preparation, including forestry mulching, excavation, and right-of-way clearing. We pride ourselves on precision, safety, and transforming properties for our clients.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Heavy Equipment Operator to join our field crew. You will be responsible for operating various machines (Skid Steers, Excavators, Mulchers) to clear land, remove debris, and prepare sites for construction or conservation. Hours are typically Monday-Friday. Averagely 50 hours/week. (Rarely 40 hours, busy time can be up to 75 hours)
Key Responsibilities:
Operate heavy machinery including excavators and skid steers equipped with forestry mulching heads. Perform land clearing, brush removal, and tree thinning according to project specifications. Conduct daily safety inspections and basic maintenance on equipment. Navigate various terrains and work outdoors in different weather conditions. Communicate effectively with the project foreman to ensure tasks are completed on schedule and to high standards. Applicant is expected to be clean, dependable, self-motivated, problem solver and take pride in their work.
Qualifications:
Experience:
2+ years of experience operating heavy equipment (Excavator, Skid Steer) is preferred.
CDL:
CDL B ( & Class A is a +)
Knowledge:
Familiarity with land clearing or forestry mulching techniques is a major plus.
Reliability:
Must have dependable transportation and a strong work ethic.
Physical Ability:
Must be able to lift 50 lbs and work in an active, outdoor environment.
Safety Mindset:
A commitment to following all OSHA and company safety protocols.
