Subsidiary of BMT Aerospace. located in Madison Heights, MI is looking for a Masker for Coper Plating.

Job Summary:

A masker applies coatings or decorations to a variety of products. People in this job apply paint, lacquer, or other coating material

Duties/Responsibilities:

Mask detail components & larger assemblies to drawings/specifications using tapes, plastic plugs and bungs as required. Ensure that processes are carried out in accordance with the laid down SOP's and Process Specifications within the Department Ensures that required quality standards are achieved Follow all relevant Health and Safety regulations are adhered to at all times Carrying out copper plating and stripping operations; Performs the operations specified in the production documentation; Operates the installations; Performs preventive maintenance of installations; Will inform the superior when a non-compliant product or other process deviations occur; Collect data completely and correctly; Maintain order and cleanliness at the workplace; Ensures that the operation is performed for all parts; The quantities will be correctly recorded in the routing as well as in the non-conformity tracking sheet. Perform additional job duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Steady hand Copper platting/Stripping (helpful, but not required) Problem solving Use of basic hand tools required for the job. Ability to read and interpret technical documents. Ability to work independently or as part of a team. Proficient with basic math. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Organizational skills and attention to detail. Time management abilities. Proactive and self-motivated with a positive attitude.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent Prior experience preferred

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to stand for prolonged period of time, walk, push, pull, kneel, crouch, crawl.
• Good manual dexterity and a steady hand.
• Able to complete physically demanding work.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
