Shift:
8:00pm-6:00am Monday-Thursday. Starting pay is $19.75/hour + $1.00 shift premium.
Weekend Shift:
6:00am-6:00pm Friday-Sunday. Starting pay is $21.94/hour + $1.00 shift premium. As a Bending Setup/Operator, you will set-up and operate one or more bending machines to perform machining operations on a variety of standardized work to prescribed tolerances and finish requirements. Must be capable of performing set-up and operating routines for all benders using prescribed methods and perform general maintenance on assigned machines.
Job Duties:
Identify tooling and equipment necessary to perform assigned operation. Follow start up and shut down procedures on all equipment, monitor and adjust equipment as necessary and record same. Working from blue print, plan set-ups and operating routine using prescribed methods and operate bending equipment to efficiently produce finished product. Ensure that all quality standards are met by visually inspecting work and/or measuring. Using a variety of different ways or means, move materials as required. Maintain records relating to production, downtime, quality, maintenance, etc Recognize operating irregularities and machine malfunctions and make corrections. Perform rework as necessary. Perform Machine set-up as required. Instruct and train assigned operators on work tasks, safety procedures, proper use of equipment and the importance of performing to ISO 9001 and
ISO 14001
quality standards. Meet or exceed production requirements or Team Lead or Manager of reason for deviation from standards. Work safely at all times and comply with safety regulations regarding the use of protective equipment and devices. Keep work area, equipment, machines, etc. clean and orderly at all times. Perform necessary computer transactions in various computer applications and software programs. Offer suggestions for improving productivity, process, safety, or work environment Perform other miscellaneous job assignments and related functions as directed by Team Lead, Manager, or other designated person. Must perform as a team member with the willingness and attitude to work with others to Resolve problems. Must also maintain a good working relationship with others within the organization
Basic Qualifications:
Shop math Judgment to plan, perform, and make decisions as to the sequence of processes using standard methods and procedures Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring equipment Team attitude

Summary Pay Range:
$19.75 - $24.65 Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
