Job Description
Liberty Turned Components, Milan, MI location is looking to hire qualified candidates for open machine operator position. Successful candidates will be responsible for running Multi Spindle lathes at a proficient level. Our production team operates on a Panama-style 2-2-3 schedule, providing employees with a built-in rotating schedule that includes every other weekend off. Team members work 12-hour shifts and alternate between 36-hour and 48-hour workweeks, resulting in a consistent schedule with guaranteed overtime every other week. This setup provides more consecutive days off than a traditional Monday-Friday schedule while maintaining full-time hours and excellent work-life balance Night Shift is also available with a 10% wage premium.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain high quality standards of the finished product (using frequent inspection utilizing SPC system)
- Restock the machines with bar stock material.
- Responsible for general maintenance of the machines (checking oil levels, monitoring tool wear, etc)
- Meet daily production requirements (70% efficiency minimum)
Qualifications:
- High school diploma, GED, or relevant experience
- The ability to lift 50lbs
- Ability to work in a team environment.
