Machine Operator:

Ensure a safe work environment for oneself and others Follow all safety rules and regulations Set automatic controls, observe gauges, and operate a gas or electric furnace used to harden temper, anneal heat treat metal parts Load parts into containers in accordance with load diagrams, close the furnace door, and insert parts into the furnace when the specified temperature is reached Remove parts from the furnace after the specified time, and air dry or cool parts in water, oil, brine, or other baths Read the production schedule to determine the processing sequence and furnace temperature requirements for objects to be heat-treated Read the work order to determine processing specifications Light gas burners and adjust the flow of gas and coolant water Operate packaging washer equipment where applicable What you need to be a
