Job Summary:

The Laser Operator is responsible for setting up and operating industrial cutting laser machines to process a variety of materials. This role involves loading large sheets of material, monitoring machine performance, and ensuring finished products meet quality specifications. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, machine smart, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with both machinery and computer systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Machine Operation Set up and operate industrial laser cutting equipment Load large sheets of laminated wood, steel, or plastic into machines Monitor machine operation to ensure accurate cutting and performance Material Handling & Setup Safely load and unload materials onto machines Ensure materials are properly aligned and secured before cutting Assist with moving finished materials within the production area Quality & Inspection Measure and verify parts using rulers and measuring tools Ensure finished products meet specifications and quality standards Maintain strong attention to detail to avoid errors or defects Troubleshooting & Support Identify and troubleshoot basic machine or material issues Use logical thinking and problem-solving skills during production Maintain a clean and organized work area

Qualifications:

Required:

Mechanical aptitude or prior machine operation experience Must be machine smart and able to understand how equipment operates and functions Ability to learn and use computer-controlled equipment Strong math skills and ability to read measurements accurately Attention to detail and commitment to quality Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently

Preferred:

Previous experience operating laser or CNC machinery Experience in manufacturing or production environments

Working Conditions:

Manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery and materials Frequent standing, bending, and walking throughout the shift Ability to lift up to 75 lbs as needed Fast-paced production environment requiring focus and accuracy
