Job Description

2nd shift- Monday-Friday 3:00 pm-11:30 pm $21.00-$22.00/hour plus $2.00/hour shift differential for any hours worked. Benefits are available on the first of the month following 30 days of employment. The Machine Operator I position is responsible for producing products that meets quality specifications, by operating machines, handling product, testing product quality, and packaging finished product. This position requires acceptable progress in learning production processes, equipment troubleshooting, equipment operation, and packaging procedures. This entry-level position is developing mastery of equipment and processes. The operator one possesses skills to work independently on assigned areas when trained and can perform basic trouble shooting in those areas of proficiency. essential functions The following are essential job accountabilities. Can operate all the machines in his/her assigned work area without assistance or with minimal assistance, while developing proficiency Assists with the set-up of equipment May assist with performing mechanical "Pre-ops" on equipment Cleans and monitors blenders Performs cleaning duties on equipment as assigned; including printers, while the machine is in operation Packages finished products Works effectively with other operating personnel in a unified effort to keep all production equipment operating safely and efficiently. Complies with all safety, health- and environmental management-related policies and procedures. Participates in company-sponsored safety programs and activities Reports to management those conditions or actions by employees or others that might create a hazard to themselves or others in the plant. Maintains knowledge of and follows the QC Specifications Sheets Completes all required quality checks as defined by the batch ticket Alert's operator 2 & 3 of testing issues, corrects with assistance Completes documentation in an accurate and timely manner Other related duties as assigned.
Secondary job accountabilities:
Coordinate's removal of completed materials with the material handler. Performs required machine cleaning to departmental housekeeping standards.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Minimum Education:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Minimum Experience:
Entry-level position: prior experience in a production environment preferred.
