PACKAGING
OPERATOR
Bent Paddle is seeking a hard-working, dependable team member to join our Packaging Crew. The ideal candidate will bring a positive attitude, strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to working collaboratively to achieve production and quality goals. The packaging team operates a Wild Goose 5-head canning line, CTC-30 kegging system, Paktech CCA 120, with occasional limited seasonal bottling. We package a variety of craft beverages, including Bent Paddle beer, hemp-derived cannabis beverages, and contract-produced brands. This position requires flexibility, reliability, and a willingness to work as part of a team to meet production and quality goals. This opening is for second shift. Typical hours are Mon-Thurs, 10:00a to 8:00p. As a small production team, our schedule is driven by packaging goals and production needs. While we strive to maintain consistent hours, occasional Friday shifts and extended days may be required to complete production runs, equipment changeovers, cleanup, or other operational needs. We value reliability, flexibility, and a team-first mindset. Our goal is to communicate schedule changes as early as possible while maintaining a safe workplace and meeting production commitments.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Preferred experience working in a manufacturing, production, warehouse, or other physically active work environment
- Ability to stand and work on your feet for the duration of the shift with scheduled breaks
- Comfortable performing repetitive tasks throughout the workday while maintaining attention to quality and safety
- Ability to work in conditions typical of a manufacturing environment, including cool, warm, hot, humid, and wet conditions
- Frequently push, pull, lift, and/or move objects up to 20 lbs
- Occasionally push, pull, and/or move objects up to 160 lbs (with equipment or team support)
- Ability to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl as needed
POSITION DESCRIPTION
Set up, operate, break down canning and kegging lines and clean
- Operate packaging equipment, including canning and kegging systems, seasonal bottling equipment, and forklifts (training and certification provided by BPBC)
- Palletize cases and kegs
- Work with the production team on QA/QC to ensure consistent, high-quality product
- Perform equipment maintenance, preventative maintenance, and basic troubleshooting
- Coordinate and communicate with brewery team to ensure we are all paddling in the same direction
- Assist in tracking packaging materials and product availability
- Stock, organize, and maintain cleanliness of packaging equipment and stations
- Follow all OSHA regulations and workplace safety procedures
- Support warehouse operations as needed, including unloading and receiving shipments with proper reconciliation
