  • Part-time Position Overview Speedcutters Outdoor Maintenance is looking for a skilled, dependable Machine Operator to join our team on a part-time route basis.
This position runs every Tuesday and Wednesday and involves operating a John Deere 1585 commercial mower and a Cat skid steer with a brush cutter attachment. The right candidate takes pride in quality work, handles equipment with care, and shows up ready to go. What You'll Do Operate a John Deere 1585 with a front-mount mower to complete assigned mowing routes Run a Cat skid steer with a brush cutter attachment for vegetation management Transport equipment to job sites by driving a pickup truck with a trailer Maintain consistent quality and production across each day's route Perform basic pre
  • and post-operation equipment checks Represent Speedcutters professionally at all work sites Requirements Proven experience operating commercial mowing equipment, skid steers, or similar machines Experience driving a pickup truck with a trailer in a professional setting Ability to obtain a DOT medical card (required for driving company vehicles) Clean driving record — a motor vehicle record check will be conducted Physically able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Reliable, punctual, and self-directed on a solo route Preferred Qualifications Prior experience specifically with John Deere 1585 or similar articulating mowers Experience with skid steer brush cutters or forestry attachments Background in lawn care, landscape maintenance, or municipal mowing
Compensation & Schedule Pay:
$20
  • 27 per hour, based on experience
Schedule:
Tuesday and Wednesday each week (part-time route position) Hours will vary by route; consistent weekly schedule once established
