Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Plastic Extrusion Technician to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining plastic extrusion machinery to produce high-quality plastic profiles and products. Your expertise will ensure efficient production processes, adherence to safety standards, and consistent product quality. We offer excellent wages, based on experience and benefits with a clean and safe, temperature controlled work environment. $500 hire on bonus after 90 day probationary period Duties Set up, operate, and monitor plastic extrusion machines, ensuring optimal performance and product quality. Adjust machine parameters such as temperature, pressure, and speed using programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to meet specifications. Conduct quality inspections using precision measuring instruments like micrometers, calipers, and other tools to verify dimensions and surface finish. Maintain accurate documentation of production data, inspection results, and equipment maintenance logs. Experience Proven experience working with plastics extrusion processes in a manufacturing environment. Minimum 6 months previous plastic extrusion operator experience required. Experience using 1" Killion, Davis Standard or similar extrusion equipment, and associated downstream equipment. Mechanical knowledge related to machinery setup, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance. Experience with quality inspection procedures using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers. Strong understanding of lean manufacturing practices to optimize production efficiency. Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for measurements and process adjustments.
