Production Equipment Operator Job Description We are seeking a dedicated and proficient operator to manage, monitor, and maintain the daily functions of production equipment. This role involves working with various machinery such as Cartoners, Labelers, Wrappers, Pouching, and Stick Machines. The operator will also assist with end-of-line packaging, filling shippers, stacking shippers, and handling full pallets. Responsibilities Ensure all machine operations and work comply with GMPs and company SOPs. Observe product and machine operation to detect defects or malfunctions. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the machine work area according to 5S Standards. Follow good documentation practices and understand batch records. Assist in setting up, tearing down, and loading correct formulas. Check weight limits and document output and downtime. Accurately complete batch records and logbooks. Label and palletize pressed products. Essential Skills Proficiency in packaging, GMP, and machine operation. Mechanically inclined with basic math skills. Experience in food manufacturing, production, or general production. Ability to use hand tools. Additional Skills & Qualifications 1 year of machine operation experience in a GMP environment or mechanical inclination. Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English. Ability to lift 40 lbs or move up to 50 lbs as needed. Experience in food manufacturing, pharmaceutical, or other GMP manufacturing industries. Why Work Here? Work Environment The work environment includes a first shift from Monday to Thursday, 6:00 am to 4:30 pm, and a second shift from Monday to Thursday, 4:20 pm to 2:50 am. Fridays may require mandatory overtime. Hearing protection is provided, and some work will occur in a cleanroom environment requiring a gown and hairnet. The production floor prohibits jewelry and cell phones, and employees should be comfortable with a strong fruit smell due to fruit-flavored powders. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Minneapolis, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.15 - $23.40/hr.
