JOB SUMMARY
This is a union position (PPPWU Local 11M) within our Minneapolis facility, primarily responsible for monitoring envelope converting machines, quality inspection of envelopes and packing envelopes to be shipped. 8-
Hour Shifts :
1st shift (7:00 AM
  • 3:00 PM, Monday
  • Friday), 2nd shift (3:00 PM
  • 11:00 PM, Monday
  • Friday) , 3rd shift (11:00 PM
  • 7:00 AM, Sunday
  • Friday AM).
Additional hourly shift differential applies to 2nd and 3rd shifts.
DUTIES INCLUDE
Operate envelope machines to produce envelopes Assist with the set-up of equipment to include troubleshooting and/or machine adjustments, as needed Inspect envelopes for quality assurance Maintain accurate production records and move tickets Check job jacket against the job being run to verify the job is running correctly Conduct thorough, documented quality checks and follow written quality assurance guidelines Label finished stock Clean machine during job change or shutdown Support Machine Adjuster during preventative maintenance Handle basic jams Promote and adhere to the Company's CARES core values which are embedded in all roles, fostering a culture that demonstrates commitment to: Collaboration, Accountability, Respect, Excellence and Safety Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
  • 1 to 3 months of related experience Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred Must have a high school diploma or GED Excellent color acuity Requires the ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail Basic mathematical skills Must be able to use a ruler to the 1/16 Must be able to read and understand written job orders Good communication and teamwork skills Must be able to frequently lift and /or move up to 32 lbs.
Occasionally lift over 32 lbs. Must possess good work record, excellent attendance and safety habits Math skills assessment Pre-employment drug screen Pre-employment background screen Preference will be given to candidates who have worked in similar positions and manufacturing environments
