Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Brake Press Operator to join a production team. This role is responsible for setting up and operating press brake machines, reading blueprints, and ensuring accurate metal fabrication. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and confident in both machine setup and operation.

Key Responsibilities:

Machine Operation & Setup Set up and operate press brake machines for precision metal forming Adjust tooling, dies, and machine settings to meet specifications Perform routine machine checks and adjustments to ensure optimal performance Quality & Measurement Accurately use measuring tools such as calipers, squares, and protractors Read and interpret blueprints to determine production specifications Ensure all work meets quality and accuracy standards General Duties Maintain compliance with all safety procedures and company policies Assist with additional shop tasks as needed Maintain a clean and organized work area

Qualifications:

Required:

2-3 years of press brake operation experience At least 1 year of experience with flat layouts, bend allowances, press brake programming, and setup High school diploma or GED Strong blueprint reading and interpretation skills Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment Reliable, punctual, and able to work overtime when needed Flexibility to switch tasks based on shop demands

Preferred:

Experience in the sheet metal industry

Working Conditions:

Manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery and materials Frequent standing for long periods in a physically demanding role Ability to lift or maneuver 50 lbs regularly Ability to lift up to 75 lbs repeatedly
