Job Description

Machine Operator - Hollow Fiber Line (Weekend Shift) Friday to Sunday, 5:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. $22/hr. The role is station-based and requires standing for 12-hour shifts while operating machines and performing assembly tasks on small components. Initial training takes place on a weekday shift for 1-2 weeks (or as needed), either on first shift (5:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday-Thursday) or second shift (3:25 p.m. to 1:55 a.m., Monday-Thursday), before transitioning to the weekend schedule. Job Description This role involves operating manual production equipment and performing detailed assembly tasks on the Hollow Fiber line within a controlled manufacturing environment. You will set up and run machines, inspect components using microscopes and measuring tools, and follow process sheets to complete multi-step procedures. The position requires strong hand dexterity, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to stand for extended periods while working with small components in a team-based setting. Responsibilities Operate various manual machines on the Hollow Fiber line, including loading parts, setting and running programs, and monitoring machine operation. Perform detailed quality checks using microscopes and measuring tools to verify that parts meet specifications. Set up, run, and adjust the wrapper machine in the wrapping area, ensuring proper operation and consistent output. Use small hand tools and tweezers to complete basic assembly of components according to established procedures. Read and follow process sheets accurately to perform multi-step assembly and production tasks. Complete required documentation and recordkeeping related to process steps, inspections, and production results. Work at a station, often in teams of 1-2, to carry out detailed, multi-step processes on smaller components. Maintain a clean and organized work area in both cleanroom and non-cleanroom, temperature-controlled environments. Stand for 12-hour shifts while performing repetitive assembly and machine operation tasks. Essential Skills At least 6 months of manufacturing experience. Basic reading, writing, and math skills to follow process sheets and complete documentation. Experience reading from process sheets and performing documentation accurately. Ability to consistently lift up to 20 pounds. Ability to stand for 12-hour shifts. Mechanical aptitude to understand and operate production machinery. Good hand dexterity for working with small components and hand tools. Experience with assembly, machine operation, or general labor in a production environment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Paul, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
