Machine Operator
II WAITE
PARK, Minnesota
OVERVIEW
The Machine Operator ll is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining one or more machines to produce products according to company standards. This position requires a good understanding of machine operation principles, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to safety and efficiency.
PAY RANGE
$23.00 - $28.50 commensurate with experience

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Operate and monitor production equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures. Adjust machine settings to optimize performance and meet production requirements. Perform machine setup, calibration, and adjustments as needed for product specifications. Conduct routine maintenance, cleaning, and troubleshooting to ensure machines run smoothly. Inspect products for quality assurance. Record production data, including counts, defects, and machine performance metrics. Diagnose and resolve basic mechanical and operational issues during the production process. Escalate complex problems to the maintenance or engineering teams. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment. Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and environmental guidelines. Collaborate with team members to achieve production goals. Train or assist less experienced operators as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
Technical training or certification in technical trade (machining, welding, etc.) Minimum of 1 year of experience.
JOB SKILLS
Basic understanding of machine operation and tools. Basic welding skills. Ability to read and follow technical instructions or blueprints. Quickly address minor mechanical issues or adjust machine settings. Collaborate effectively with colleagues and supervisors. Fully understands safety training and procedures manuals.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Ability to stand, kneel, or bend for extended periods. Comfortable working in hot, noisy, or physically demanding environments. Good visual acuity to distinguish details in the materials and welds. Ability to perform tasks in uncomfortable positions, including lying, crouching, or in awkward spaces.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Manufacturing, construction, or repair facility. Exposure to welding fumes, heat, and noise, with proper PPE provided.
