In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining laser cutting equipment to produce precise components according to specifications. Your expertise in CNC programming, blueprint reading, and mechanical knowledge will ensure high-quality output and efficient production workflows. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced fabrication technology in a fast-paced factory environment, contributing to the creation of top-tier products with precision and care. Responsibilities Set up laser cutting machines, including programming using Cypcut software and verifying machine parameters for optimal performance Operate laser equipment safely and efficiently, ensuring adherence to all safety protocols and quality standards Read and interpret detailed blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) specifications to produce accurate parts Perform routine maintenance on laser machinery, including calibration and troubleshooting issues Handle materials safely using forklifts and other materials handling tools; prepare raw materials for processing Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers to inspect finished components for accuracy and quantity Collaborate with assembly line teams to ensure timely delivery of parts Qualifications Minimum 1 year experience operating laser cutting machines in a manufacturing or factory setting Familiarity with Cypcut software or similar programs Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately; understanding of GD&T standards Mechanical aptitude with experience using hand tools, calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments Basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations during setup and inspection processes Prior warehouse or manufacturing facility experience Forklift certified preferred Strong safety awareness; ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality Schedule 2nd shift -- 3:30p-11:00p
Pay:
$23.00 - $26.00 per hour
