About the Role Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Slitter Entry Operator is responsible for setting up and operating high-speed equipment with robotic elements to form or cut steel to specified dimensions and specifications. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, mechanically skilled, and thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining a commitment to safety and quality.
Shift:
1st Shift | 5:30 AM - 2:00 PM 3rd Shift | 6 am to 4:30 am or 7 pm to 5:30 am
Pay:
$23.50-$24.63 per hour plus Production Incentive Bonus What Youll Do Observe all safety and LOTO rules to operate equipment efficiently and effectively. Perform advanced setup and calibration of all equipment. Inspect materials for quality issues before, during, and after production. Record and report deficiencies in quality to supervisors or the quality department. Maintain equipment tooling and tools necessary for job completion. Diagnose equipment and quality problems while minimizing scrap and delays. Perform housekeeping tasks to maintain clean and safe work areas. Complete reports related to production, changeovers, and scrap material. Assist maintenance with repairs and preventive maintenance (PM) of equipment. Participate in continuous improvement programs to enhance efficiency and quality. Perform other duties as assigned by management.
