As a Precision CNC Milling Technician, you'll operate 3-4 axis vertical machining centers to rough mill the minor axis of tips and remove excess material surrounding the cup, turning raw stock into exact-to-spec components. A day in the life Review work orders and verify all setup details before machining. Program or load programs and inspect the machine setup, using calipers to measure the width of the cup and the outer diameter (OD) of the stock. Load the workpiece, align the longer side of the cup with a Machinist Square, and secure the setup. Close the door and execute the run safely and efficiently. Clean the part to remove any coolant and chips. Measure the piece with dial calipers, confirming length and width of the cup match work order requirements. Produce the first piece and obtain First Piece Inspection approval before continuing. Rough mill the minor axis of tips and remove excess material around the cup per specifications. Support the cell by moving between machines as workflow changes.
